So...it seems I am really into scrapbooking video tutorials these days. I really enjoy them and learning a lot of new techniques and variations on some basics.
One of my very favourite blogs is Kim Burmeister's Clearly Inspired. She has recently started doing Tutorial Tuesdays (video version of her Technique Tuesday) and I find her stuff a lot of fun. She completes a card from start to finish and shows you different techniques and products. She is a CTMH (Close to My Heart) consultant so I find a lot of what she does of great interest to me given my huge interest in said company! ;)
Another blog I am loving is that of Kristina Werner's simply called kwerner design. She has MACM (Make a Card Monday) where she also demonstrates different techniques while completing a card. She is a graphic designer and is on the design team for SU (Stampin' Up!)...another company I really like.
There are a few others I check from time to time but these two I check daily to see what's going on. I am always on the hunt for more great scrappin' blogs (with or without video tutorials) so if you know of one, maybe your own...let me know! I loved to check it out!
Side note: Anyone know what is going on with the Creating Keepsakes website? They used to have great new videos each week but they haven't been doing them recently. I really miss them. Maybe it's too costly or something because Simple Scrapbooks hasn't been doing theirs anymore and Epson/Scrapbooks Etc.'s webshow Scrapbook Lifestyle is no longer being produced. Too bad...

Becky Fleck's Page Maps are in da house!!
I was so excited when I went to the mail today and found my package from Scrapbook Club Online! Becky Fleck's Page Maps is one of the hot tickets out there right now...I know so many people who have ordered it or have it on their wishlist. I couldn't wait to open it up and study the pages from cover to cover. I have to say that it is one of the best scrapping resources yet! I love the sketch cards that come with the book too...they will be so handy when going to crops. I figure they will fit nicely in my AMM tote and won't take up as much room as a full size book. There is a sketch on one side of the card and on the other is a completed layout to inspire you. So if you haven't caved and bought this book already...I highly recommend it!

Birthday card on a whim...
I decided last night for no particular reason to make this card. I made it in only 10 minutes or so which is totally not like me at all. Inspiration struck and I went with the flow...guess I should do that more often!! ;)
I embossed the vanilla paper with a square design but you can't see it well. I like the contrast in colours too.
Let me know what you think...do you like the colours? Does it need anything else?

Putting it all back...
I have painted all the walls. We made our trip to IKEA and purchased our sofa and a few extra things. I bought a new area rug yesterday and I am having new carpet installed on the stairs soon. I have ordered the entertainment armoire and I have to pick up my new leather chair. Now...I just have to put it all back. Who knew that was going to be the hard part!!
I will post pictures soon.
